| The
group can be composed based on a variety of criteria such as job
type or developmental level or a general interest area
such as supervisory or management or communication skills. Therefore,
people in this venue must be comfortable enough to share
both uncertainties/challenges as well as opinions/suggestions.
This is a group discussion that includes, but is by no means
limited to, expert input from the coach/group facilitator.
There are multiple
benefits to Executive Evolution’s virtual group coaching:
• The coaching
session investment per person is very reasonable and only a fraction
of that for individual coaching.
• Group sizes are
kept relatively small to support optimal participation for each
group member.
• The format is
very flexible. We address pre-determined topics of interest to the
group and can also address any new issue or area that comes up for
the group if that serves the group and the organization.
• As a by-product
of the process, group members observe coaching techniques. Coaching
techniques used can be highlighted at the end of each session or
one or more sessions can be devoted to the subject of coaching skills,
if desired.
• When appropriate,
group members can be encouraged and supported in coaching each other.
This leverages the knowledge and wisdom of the entire group, while
simultaneously giving them practice in coaching.
• Group members
develop relationships with other group members. In the case of group
members from the same company this can improve working relationships,
communications or understanding of others and their situations.
In cross company groups, this presents an opportunity for gaining
broader perspective and developing wider networks.
